Betrayal

She came into my life like a whirlwind bringing hope, compassion and love from her heart. Her eyes pierce me to my soul and I see the tears that well but do not fall as I break her heart into a thousand pieces as my mind is torn apart by despair and torture. Her love is like a mother to a child and yet that of a passionate lover.

And yet I am betrayed as my most inner thoughts are laid out like a slave in the Roman arena. Down, down I go as I am crucified by the constraints of Society. My heart crumbles to dust as my tears are blown away to the four winds and the echo on the wind is of the one whose love knew no boundary and yet betrayed me to the guardians of Society whose sanctity would eat their own entrails.

Chaos reigns supreme in unbridled freedom and burns bright in the fire of my soul as I learn of the one I truly love and yet lies beyond my reach in the chasm of infinity and oblivion beckons me again.

I dream of her arms around me like the wings of a dove giving me final peace, taking the pain away and finally my mind would be still and I would lay down for a final sleep and at last peace would lay upon me.
