Fallen Angel

I was walking at night in a graveyard,
amongst an endless sea of marble.

Saw a fallen angel, saw her crying,
her wings were broken, she was torn, she was hurt, she was dying.

I cried out, How can such beauty fall from heaven ?

She reached out into the darkness,
I tried to help but she was afraid, lost and dying.

In my arms she died,
her blood lay on the white marble,
she breathed her last,
her bright eyes fixed on mine,
and her soul was lost to the night.

I held her broken form in my arms as my
tears mingled with her tears that now lay on her face.

In rage I screamed at God,
you will be the next to die,
you will pay for this.
