The Fens
The windmill sails cut the wind as it sweeps across the marshland flatland that tells the story of a long forgotten past of the blood and sweat that carved the land from the fierce dominions of the sea.
The
wind sweeps down and carries the tears of Tom whose wife and newborn were lost
to the darkness of the grave, of Elsie cut down in the prime of youth, of John
broken by days long and hard.
Church bells of a hundred long years since gone now echo in the wind calling the faithful to their knees and their destiny. The wind cuts through the church tower and into the graveyard returning those of the past to the past.
