Oceans
of Love
I
walked through woodland amongst the sun dappled red, yellow and orange leaves. I
saw such beauty. But in all of that and more than that I saw you, the essence of
love, the one whose voice sings in sweet melody. Your tunes play upon my mind
like leaves whistling on the breeze.
I
walked along the shoreline, my shoes kicking up hot sand with the warmth of the
sun upon me, like your warmth all around me. Cumulus white clouds played games
upon the canopy of the sky like a blanket of love, like your love wrapped around
me. Your sweet music was captured in waves breaking upon the shore and I looked
upon the waves and saw mermaids playing upon the tide. They beckoned and spoke
to me in a whisper only I could hear, they told me of love, they told me of an
endless love, a love from eternity, a love for you, the one I have found. As
darkness fell I slept amongst the dunes and fell into a fitful sleep listening
to the breaking waves. In my dreams I saw the universe form and explode in a
multitude of colours, I saw suns and planets form, a cascade of light. I saw the
Earth form and sprout forth colour and life. I saw civilisations rise and fall.
But in all of that I saw you standing there in unyielding love, waiting for me,
arms outstretched. I reached out and found you and knew you were my destiny.
Your warming smile defeated me and I knew in that moment I should hold and caress you. In that endless moment I felt your warmth and love and knew that I will always love you. That moment gave me the truth that so long as I live I shall love no other. I kissed your sweet lips and entwined your tongue in a passion I have never known. I touched and kissed your satin silk skin and felt waves of emotion envelop us. I felt your tenderness upon my naked skin and I looked into your deep blue eyes which sparkled like the ocean and in them I saw oceans of love. In that moment I realised that you are my one sweet true love that will give my life meaning and purpose. I was born to love you and only you, and when I die my last thoughts will be of you and the oceans of love in your eyes.
